SMUEC Talks

These aren’t your average entrepreneurs! Four local entrepreneurs will speak for 15 minutes each about how they started their own businesses. Students will be able to ask questions and learn what it takes to turn ideas into a reality. Students from all faculties will benefit from attending this evening of speakers at the Gorsebrook Lounge.

Social Shift Viewing

We’re screening The Social Shift documentary right here on campus and yes, there will be popcorn! Join us for a fun movie night hosted by the Co-Founders of Mirror Images. Watch as two videographers travel across Canada learning about businesses that are making a social impact on the world.

Growth Matters

Growth Matters is a new coaching program offered by the SMUEC. We are offering coaching packages to select companies with growth potential to help them make decisions around how to approach new opportunities or deal with nagging problems.

Our coaches use a custom assessment, and coaching tools from Growth Wheel International, to move your business forward.

 

The Options Youth Program is an employment wage subsidy program, facilitated by the Saint Mary’s University Entrepreneurship Centre and funded by Service Canada. We provide a significant wage subsidy to employers to assist their hiring of priority youth in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

The objectives of Options Youth are to help employers cover the cost of training while helping priority youth (age 15-30) overcome multiple barriers to employment, and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make a successful transition to the labour market or return to school.
